Fishing on a Norwegian fishing vessel
Foreign fishermen on Norwegian fishing vessels with a vessel id can apply for extended access in the application form for professional fishermen. In the application form, you must connect to the fishing vessel through the brand register for fishing vessel's.
To apply for extended access, you must have a BarentsWatch user account, have confirmed your phone number, and be logged in. The application form can be found in FiskInfo and on My Page.
Once you have been granted extended access, you can register gear in the same way as other professional fishermen. Read more about registration of fishing gear.

Fishing on a foreign vessel
Foreign fishermen on foreign vessels without a Norwegian fishing vessel id must contact post@barentswatch.no to apply for extended access.
Create a BarentsWatch user account first, and then send us a message. The email must contain the username used on BarentsWatch, the name of the vessel and the vessel's IMO/MMSI/IRCS. Also include a telephone number so that other fishermen have the opportunity to contact the vessel.
Once you have been granted extended access, you can register gear in the same way as commercial fishermen. Read more about registration of fishing gear.
